FAQ

Are trips beginner friendly?

Yes! Our trips are designed for people of all skill levels.

What if I have dietary restrictions?

We are able to accommodate dietary restrictions as long as we know in advance. Please list your dietary restrictions on your health form and email [email protected] two weeks before your scheduled trip.

What do I need to bring?

We provide gear, but it is important that you bring the right layers of clothes. Check out our What to Bring List here.

Can I bring my own gear?

Yes, you are welcome to bring your own gear! Our guides will help you go through your gear during packing.

What happens in an emergency?

Each of our guides are trained in Wilderness Medicine and we provide Colorado Outdoor Recreation Search and Rescue (CORSAR) cards. In the case of a medical emergency, our guides will provide first aid in the field and evacuate the patient if necessary.

Can I have my phone?

We allow adults to have phones but ask that you only use it for pictures. There may be limited service available in the backcountry but phone usage diminishes participants ability to disconnect and fully experience the wilderness. Students may bring their phones to the base but are not allowed to bring phones into the backcountry. Guides will take and share pictures on high school trips.

What is the refund policy for individuals?

Should you cancel your registration, there will be a $150 cancellation fee. If you cancel your registration within 14 days of the start of the trip and we are unable to fill your space there are no refunds. There are no refunds or pro-rated pricing for early departures or late arrivals.

Are there payment plans available?

Yes! If you would like to set up a payment plan for your trip, contact [email protected]
